Von Cajun über Jazz und Rock bis zu Zuban Bassa Beat, diesesmal waren viele Stile zu hören. Das „International Music & Arts Festival„ fand 2006 zum siebten Male in Inverbervie statt. So I’ll tak’ ye on the road again when yellow’s on the broom …
The seventh YELLOW’S ON THE BROOM international music and arts festival brought together African Bassa Beat and American Zydeco-Cajun, Louisiana Swamp Blues and New York Jazz, Appalachian Mountain Music and local Scotish fisher folk.
As well as the appealing mix and variety of very danceable live music in the evenings, the festival also offered music, theatre and craft workshops in the afternoons.
The festival takes place in Sillyflatt Barn. Other venues for the first time were the kirk and the mill of Benholm. These places can be found between Aberdeen and Dundee.
The dedication of the teams of volunteers and the generosity of landowner Sandy Reid ensure that each year this self-financing festival is a brilliant success.
